Management Accountant - manufacturing, Newton Aycliffe, salary to £48,000

Your new company
An international manufacturer with a significant presence in Co Durham is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to work closely with their on-site manufacturing plant, as part of a site-wide restructure and strengthening of the finance team.
Your new role
With direct liaison with the plant, you and a team of accountants will have responsibility for the day to day management, accounting and financial control of this flag-ship manufacturing site.
Key responsibilities will include:-

Preparation of the monthly P&L and MMA pack

P&L and Balance Sheet forecasting

Balance Sheet Control Account reconciliations

Overhead analysis

Consolidate plant overhead forecasts

Development of working capital improvement opportunities

KPIs and internal performance management tools

Working closely with the commercial team to ensure correct pricing is applied

Analysis, interpretation and presentation of financial data to non-finance managers

What you'll need to succeed
Applications considered from Part-Qualified, Qualified and Qualified by Experience candidates, the strongest applications will be able to demonstrate experience of working within large manufacturing sites using ERP accounting packages.
You will be adept at interpreting financial production data and be able to provide analysis and commentary to non-financial managers. The strongest applicants will be those who can demonstrate experience of already working closely with production, providing analysis and advice on pricing strategies.
You will be someone who is keen to question and put forward suggestions on process improvements.
Previous staff management experience would be beneficial but not essential.
