Hays are looking for a maintenance joiner for a housing contract in Edinburgh.

Our client is a reputable housing association committed to providing high-quality housing and maintenance services for our residents. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance joiner to join our team on a temporary basis.Your new role
Your responsibilities will include both the installation and maintenance of building fabric in both residential and commercial properties, including;

Performing general joinery work, including fixing issues with existing building fabric.

Install new building fabric as required.

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of building fabric.

Respond to emergency issues promptly and efficiently.

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

What you'll need to succeed
Our client is looking for joiners whose background is maintenance joinery and are comfortable in a maintenance environment, working with members of the public. Successful candidates will preferably have experience of maintaining building fabric in residential as well as commercial properties.
Main requirements:

• Proven experience as a maintenance joiner
• Relevant joinery qualifications (eg NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Joinery)
• Valid driving licence
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and organisational skills

What you'll get in return
You will be paid weekly & your work schedule will be a standard Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1630. Your Hays consultant will be in touch regularly to respond to any queries or issues you may have and make sure you are kept up-to-date.What you need to do now
