Willow Lake Waterpark is a brand new waterports centre opening on July 20th at Billing Aquadrome Northampton. The waterpark will include a floating aqua park, SUP, paddle sports, open water swimming and outdoor saunas. We require full and part time staff to work the summer season with us, both on and off the water!

All training can be given to candidates and whilst previous experience will be considered, it is not essential.

As a member of the Willow Lake Water Park team your main duties will be:

• Selling FUN! We want our customers to have a huge amount of fun and leave with massive smiles on their faces. As a member of our staff, you will be an integral part of making this happen.
• Monitoring users of the water to ensure that they are safe
• Ensuring people in and around the water are complying with guidelines to have a safe and enjoyable visit
• Carrying out first aid and rescues when required
• Help to operate reception and act as welcome staff for customers
• Reporting any accidents or complaints
• Cleaning duties around the site.

Job Roles:

• Manager experience in leisure industry, ideally at a water sports park desired, but not essential.
• Reception Crew all training and qualifications can be given by us
• Lifeguards all training and qualifications can be given by us

Training Qualifications:

If you are already lifeguard trained or have worked previously at a watersports park or swimming pool, this is a bonus, but it is not essential. From 8th to 12th July, we will be running training courses with the following qualifications available:

• RLSS Open Water Lifeguard
• Emergency First Aid at Work
• RLSS Aqua Park Module
• RLSS Automated External Defibrillator Program

Job Requirements:

• Able to swim at least 400m
• Have availability to work this summer holidays, eg summer 2024

Manager, Team Leaders and Long-Term Staff
We will need some Team Leaders, and the staff who impress the most during training and the first few weeks of opening, will have fantastic opportunities to become team leaders. There will also be opportunities for long-term, Full time employment within the company. For example, whilst the park is closed over winter, there will still be admin and planning duties to be done, etc.

Lifeguards
The bulk of staff we require are lifeguards (lifeguard training provided), who we need to run the water sports activities, which include a floating aqua park, open water swimming, SUP and paddle sports. Expected shifts are 5 days per week, during the summer holidays, eg 20th July to start of September. We will likely also be open weekends in Autumn for those still available to work.
