Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Actuarial Contractor to join their team, focusing on Pricing Model Development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to assist the team with HX project ensuring that actuarial services are in line with the business plan and broader strategic objectives. The successful candidate will have the chance to actively achieve solutions for complex technical challenges by developing, enhancing, and maintaining tools and platforms. This role requires the ability to interact appropriately with relevant stakeholders, both within and outside Actuarial, securing their buy-in and applying knowledge and insights concerning actuarial techniques.

What you'll do:
As an Actuarial Contractor specialising in Pricing Model Development, you will be at the forefront of managing and providing direction to ensure that our client's actuarial services are in line with their business plan and broader strategic objectives. You will have the opportunity to develop, enhance, and maintain tools and platforms that support the strategic objectives of the company. Your role will require you to interact effectively with various stakeholders, both within and outside Actuarial, securing their buy-in for your initiatives. Your knowledge and insights concerning actuarial techniques will be invaluable in this role. Furthermore, you will be expected to reflect our client's values in every aspect of your role.

Targeted activity/tasks likely to be given:
* Translate existing pricing models into simplified excel prototypes (including enhancing and proposing algorithm changes where suitable)
* Collaboration with underwriters and product actuaries in design (including presenting and collating feedback etc). Therefore, being able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, holding ground where necessary and negotiating effectively
* Handover and support of IT developers in the team in understanding the excel templates as they code into python based pricing platform
* Assisting in discussions around establishment of pricing workflow future state solution in collaboration with underwriting, operations and IT; considering standardization, efficiency, and system constraints
* Assisting with testing and feedback loops
* Assist with building portfolio management reporting templates based on aggregate pricing output from the Hx models
