Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Arboricultural Consultant to join their organisation. You will have the chance to work alongside their ecologists, GIS specialists, and other environmental experts.

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare tenders and proposals on behalf of the organisation
• Provide expert advice on tree-related matters
• Lead on the visual tree and hedgerow assessments
• Interact with local authorities and planners etc
• Develop and promote our arboriculture services
• Ensure compliance with relevant authorities
• Strong knowledge of UK legislation, including Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and BS 5837: 2012.
• Manage and advise on felling licenses

What you need:

• A National Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent degree
• Full Uk drivers license and be happy to travel across the Uk when required
• Good knowledge of UK Planning Legislation and Tree Preservation orders
• Be able to work with local authorities
• A deep understanding of tree defects, diseases, and risk management
• Extensive site monitoring and project supervision experience, with a passion for delivering high-quality work
• Experience with BS 5837: 2012 guidelines and a strategic approach to tree care in design, demolition, and construction settings
