Senior Electrical Engineer Job, Salary up to £65K

You'll beworking for a successful and well stablished consultancy based in Edinburgh,who are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to jointheir Building Services team. This consultancy works on a variety of projectsacross Scotland's Central Belt as well as UK wide, operating across almostevery sector, including commercial, residential, Industrial, education andmore.

Your new role

You will be starting as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, joining an already well-established team.

You will take a lead role on a number of New build and refurbishment projects on commercial, residential and emergency services buildings across Glasgow and Edinburgh.

You will lead several junior engineers, assisting their development and ensuring the quality of their work.

You will be supported by a team of creative and experienced engineers.

Ensuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems .

Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.

Carry out (and managing of others), in the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, Dialux, Amtech, CAD, Revit, etc.

Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.

Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.

Report and technical note writing.

Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.

Adherence to all quality, environmental and governance processes.

What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

5+ years of experience in Electrical design engineering on Building Services projects.

Strong knowledge of Electrical systems and building codes.

Excellent communication and business development skills.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
