Job Title: Junior Project Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple initiatives within the.*Debt Transformation Programme*. Working alongside Programme and Project Leads, you will play a key role in managing plans, tracking risks, and coordinating tasks across several transformational projects. This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual with at least 2 years of project management experience, ideally within public sector organizations or central government departments, who is eager to grow and develop within a large organization.
Key Responsibilities
*Project Coordination*
- Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Collaborate with teams to align project objectives with departmental goals.
*Stakeholder Engagement*
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations.
*Progress Monitoring*
- Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables, escalating issues or delays to senior management as needed.
*Documentation and Reporting*
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, and progress reports, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project life cycle.
*Risk and Issue Management*
- Identify and analyze potential risks and issues, supporting the creation and implementation of effective mitigation strategies.
*Team Collaboration*
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including policy, IT, and operations, to ensure smooth project execution.
*Governance Adherence*
- Ensure all projects comply with DWP standards, policies, and governance frameworks, maintaining consistency and quality.
*Continuous Improvement*
- Contribute to identifying lessons learned and refining processes to enhance the efficiency of future project delivery.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of.*2 years of project management experience*, preferably within public sector organizations or central government departments.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with risk and issue management processes.
