Team Lead Engineering Voice and Unified Communications

15% Bonus - sporatic travel 10-20%

Location:

Miramar, FL

You will grow into manage all VoIP, voice and Cisco Unified Communications. You will have 3 direct reports (2 dotted lines) all vendors and budgets under you. They are converting from Avaya and MiTel to Cisco platform. Must have a degree (prefer double degree). Must know LAN WAN, data. Looking for an up and comer with lots of polish to put on a fast track. 2 years of management or leadership 10-20% sporadic travel the person will not be on the key boards.

  • Experience with Cisco Networking, VoIP, TDM Gateways, SIP, CUBEs, UC Platforms 10.X and up, CUCM, CUC, UCCX, Expressway, 3rd Party VoIP applications via GUI and CLI interfaces
  • CCIE, CCNP, CCVP or equivalent experience required.
  • Telco knowledge to process and execute porting and supporting UC tasks
  • Plan, Design, and Implement Voice Over IP (VoIP) Networks to current platform
  • Ability to configure VoIP components on Switches and Routers to support remote locations and SIP call delivery
  • Interact and negotiate with app owners, project managers, vendors, consultants, and contractors to design and implement VoIP solutions
  • LAN and WAN QoS configurations
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with great attention to detail

Qualifications

  1. Prior experience managing a high performing team tasked with Architecting and Engineering the Voice, UC, and call center infrastructure; including Tier III support to the organization.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills at multiple levels in the organization including technical team members and executive leaders.
  3. Prior experience developing resource plans and budgets for projects and support that technical teams are tasked with, including equipment, vendor services, and internal labor.
  4. Prior experience developing and implementing processes and procedures.
  5. Prior experience managing telco partners
  6. Prior experience managing vendors and contracts to deliver Professional Services
  7. Strong team player able to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Experience with:

  1. Cisco Unified Communications
  2. Cisco Contact Center
  3. Data Center from a Voice Infrastructure perspective.
  4. Cisco Networking
  5. Carrier Management
  6. OEM Management
  7. Managed Services Vendor Management
  8. Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization as well as with external vendors and service providers.
