Note: Regular travel to Sub-Saharan Africa (including South Africa, DRC, and Zambia) is required.

We are working with a global commodity trading company who is seeking a Project Manager to join their delivery team to work on a multi-million strategic project in South Africa.

What you'll do:

  • Leading the definition, implementation, and execution of essential project management processes and procedures, covering areas such as Project Governance, Execution Planning, Project Controls, Risk Management, and Resourcing across all project phases (from Scoping to Construction).
  • Providing regular progress reports through agreed metrics, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Supporting procurement activities by helping define and evaluate technical, commercial, and project execution aspects.
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to maintain alignment with project goals and facilitate smooth development and execution.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Extensive experience in project development for electrical infrastructure in an international setting, ideally including work in African countries.
  • Strong skills in managing stakeholders, working in teams, and supporting procurement processes with technical and commercial evaluations.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of ensuring alignment with management goals.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese or French is a plus.
