Product Manager/Business Analyst - Fixed Income, Financial/Banking (Permanent)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: Market Rates + Bonus + Bens + OT
 

Product Manager/Business Analyst - Fixed Income - Candidates MUST come from a Financial/Banking background with excellent business knowledge - ideally Fixed Income but other Asset Classes also considered (FX, Equities, Futures, Options, Swaps) combined with at least an overview and understanding of IT/Trading Applications, Networks and Servers.

Job Overview

The Product Manager will be involved in the Full Project Lifecycle from the initial Business Analysis/Requirements Gathering with both internal and external stakeholders, to Project Managing and working closely with Development Teams to drive the successful delivery of new product initiatives.

Candidates may come either from the business side who has developed a reasonable understanding of IT, alternatively from the IT side who has developed a reasonable level of business knowledge.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • The Product manager is a highly visible role within the company and as such this individual should be highly communicative and presentable, comfortable dealing with everyone to C-suite at prospective clients.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Markets - Fixed Income, FX, Equities, Futures, Options, Swaps
  • Previous Business Analysis ideally in an Electronic Trading environment
  • Excellent knowledge of the Software Development life cycle.
  • Experience working with development teams in line with Agile/Scrum Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
  • Project Management - able to demonstrate the timely delivery of multiple projects to a high standard
  • General understanding of IT including Trading Applications, desktops/Servers and network connectivity.

Other beneficial knowledge

  • Understanding of ultra-low latency distributed computing environments.
  • Familiarity with FIX trading protocol and market data systems.
  • Understanding of networking (TCP and UDP) and multicast data delivery.
  • Understanding of traditional and on-premises physical infrastructure and distributed server architectures running on Linux.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with any of the ISV's products - Trading Technologies, Stellar, ULLink, WebICE, Object Trading, Fidessa, ION/Patsystems, Trayport.
  • Exchange Connectivity - ICE/LIFFE, Eurex, CME/CBOT, Euronext, Xetra, Chi-X, LME, LSEG, NYSE.
  • Other Market Data - Reuters, Bloomberg, CQG, Ateo (Teo and Lisa).
  • Experience in Exchange and Vendor Management with a view to project managing exchange/system critical upgrades

Not essential but any foreign language especially a Spanish Speaker would be highly desirable.
