GCP, DevOps Engineer, Nomad, Contract, Start ASAP, £700+

My client, a large financial institution, is searching for a GCP DevOps Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and HashiCorp Nomad to join our dynamic team.

This role will be inside IR35 and will be twice a week in the London office.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage GCP-based infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain orchestration with Nomad.
  • Automate deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience with GCP services and architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of HashiCorp Nomad for workload orchestration.
  • Strong background in infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (eg, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
