Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Support children in their personal, social, and emotional development, promoting a sense of belonging and independence.
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing timely feedback to parents and implementing necessary interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each child.
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
  • Uphold the school's policies, procedures, and standards of behavior.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a focus on early years education.
  • Proven experience working with reception-aged children, preferably within a school setting.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Creativity and the ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • A nurturing and patient approach to working with young children.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
