Electrician
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricating, assembling, and installing parts of a ship as per trade requirements
- Installing all types of cables (multi-core, single core, co-axial, and fibre optic) and electrical systems (junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches, etc.)
- Cable reeving, cable banding, and cable terminations, and aligning and installing all electrical equipment
- Using a range of hand and mechanical tools and equipment to complete fabrication activities
- Complying with SHE regulations at all times
- Maintaining positive working relationships with team members
- Engaging with management to improve work productivity
- Ensuring compliance with all new and current work methods to produce the best quality product while reducing time and waste
Job Requirements:
- Experience in electrical installation within the maritime or defence sector
- Understanding of installing different types of cables and electrical systems
- Proficient in using various hand and mechanical tools for fabrication
- Strong knowledge of SHE regulations and commitment to maintaining safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Effective communication skills to maintain productive relationships with team mates and management
