Horton Cross Nursing Home is a 46 bed Nursing Home in the Ilminster area, looking for an experienced, all-rounded team leader, who is well-organised and has nursing experience, to take the role of Home Manager.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the care home, managing all aspects, including effectively managing budgets, audits, staffing competencies and ensuring regulatory compliance is adhered to and maintained. You will have full autonomy to organise your team, with imaginative and innovative ideas. You will be someone that thinks outside of the box, has experience in business development as well as good business acumen.

You will have.

• NVQ 5 preferably or equivalent (we can put you through this if required)
• At least 5 years of current experience in the care industry
• Current experience in managerial role in a care home within the last five years
• Business-minded with good numerical skills that can check payroll accurately
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and motivate a team
• Excellent organisational and paperwork skills
• Strong clinical knowledge and expertise, plus a management qualification (desirable)
• An effective communicator, with a confident and influential leadership style
• Computer literacy skills
