Your role
This opportunity is unlike any other council's. It offers you the headline grabbing, varied projects you will not find anywhere else in the public sector, you will be working on multiple town centre regenerations, Etihad, Salford FC, student accommodation, high rise residential, and commercial offices at Terminal 2 of MAG to name a few.Working as part of the wider building control team - which is a team of 20, you will be reporting into the technical manager supporting them on the financial and operational performance of the team. Your role is to improve standards in relation to buildings, building work and public safety, and to develop the partnerships needed to maintain the high standards of service delivery.On a daily basis you will be taking part in site visits, liaising with your team and making sure that the projects being delivered are safe and compliant.
What you'll need to be successful

If you are a building control inspector at senior or principal level then get in touch! I'd love to discuss how your knowledge of the current building regulations, and chartered status with MCIOB/MCIOB/MCABE will be used to help improve standards in relation to buildings, building work and public safety. You will need to be a Level 3 - Specialist in accordance with the Building Inspector Competence Framework.
